2024 NFL mock draft: post-Super Bowl

With Super Bowl LVIII in the books, football fans are already shifting their attention toward the 2024 NFL Draft.

With that in mind, let’s predict who will get picked where with our latest 2024 NFL Mock Draft.

1. Chicago Bears (via Panthers) – Caleb Williams, QB, USC

While there was some midseason buzz suggesting otherwise, all indications remain that Caleb Williams will go coast to coast as the No. 1 prospect in this class. At this point, it looks like Chicago will look to move Justin Fields and reset its rookie quarterback contract clock with the more highly touted Williams.

2. Washington Commanders – Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina

Washington enters its new era with no shortage of needs, but none is more pressing than the quarterback position. Like Will Levis last year, Drake Maye could wind up being a polarizing prospect. But for now, he remains in pole position to be the No. 2 quarterback — and player — picked.

3. New England Patriots – Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU

Jayden Daniels’ Heisman Trophy-winning season catapulted him not just into the first round, but potentially, the top five. The 23-year-old signal-caller has both the ability and experience to revitalize a lackluster New England offense as it enters the post-Bill Belichick era.

4. Arizona Cardinals – Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State

If Marvin Harrison Jr. makes it to No. 4, the Cardinals won’t be able to turn their card in fast enough to take the potentially generational wide receiver.

5. Los Angeles Chargers – Malik Nabers, WR, LSU

Keenan Allen will be 32 when the season starts and Mike Williams is 29 and coming off a torn ACL. If not for Harrison, Malik Nabers would be a strong WR1 for this year’s class.

6. New York Giants – Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame

The Giants had one of the NFL’s worst offensive lines in 2023. While Andrew Thomas was arguably the lone bright spot, the addition of a blue chip left tackle like Joe Alt could give New York the flexibility to move some pieces around for the betterment of the overall unit.

7. Tennessee Titans – Olumuyiwa Fashanu, OT, Penn State

The Titans have yet to fill the void left by Taylor Lewan’s departure at left tackle and it has shown. Penn State’s Olumuyiwa Fashanu is the type of prospect new offensive line coach Bill Callahan could mold into a future star.

8. Atlanta Falcons – Dallas Turner, Edge, Alabama

The Falcons’ pass rush is both old and ineffective — hardly an ideal combination. After years of using the first round on its offense, Atlanta would be wise to add a blue chip prospect like Dallas Turner to its defense.

9. Chicago Bears – Rome Odunze, WR, Washington

Regardless of who’s at quarterback for the Bears, they need to get him more weapons. Washington’s Rome Odunze would add some much-needed explosion to Chicago’s offense.

10. New York Jets – Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia

Considering the Jets were expected to owe this pick to the Packers before Aaron Rodgers’ season-ending injury, this is somewhat of a bonus pick. Using it on a unique weapon like Brock Bowers would make plenty of sense as New York gears up for a(nother) all-in season.

11. Minnesota Vikings – Jared Verse, Edge, Florida State

While Danielle Hunter’s future in Minnesota may be in question, the Vikings will continue to prioritize their pass rush. Jared Verse has the talent to challenge Turner’s status as the top edge defender in this class.

12. Denver Broncos – Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama

The Broncos’ secondary lacks any sort of depth behind Patrick Surtain II, who has already been the subject of trade rumors. Arguably the top corner in this class, Terrion Arnold could either replace Surtain or team with him to create one of the top young cornerback duos in the league.

13. Las Vegas Raiders – JC Latham, OL, Alabama

The Raiders enter this offseason with plenty of holes on both sides of the ball. Taking a talented — and versatile — offensive lineman like JC Latham could help fill one of their biggest.

14. New Orleans Saints – Laiatu Latu, Edge, UCLA

The Saints’ pass-rush was largely ineffective last season and Cameron Jordan will be 35 when the 2024 season starts. Laiatu Latu would provide a much-needed jolt to New Orleans’ front-seven.

15. Indianapolis Colts – Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson

The Colts’ defense lacks a reliable No. 1 corner. The rangy Nate Wiggins could change that.

16. Seattle Seahawks – Cooper DeJean, DB, Iowa

While the Seahawks’ already have one of the league’s top cornerback duos in Devon Witherspoon and Tariq Woolen, there’s no reason to think Seattle won’t continue to invest in its secondary. With the ability to play corner or safety, Cooper DeJean is the type of versatile player who thrived under new head coach Mike Macdonald when he was the Ravens’ defensive coordinator.

17. Jacksonville Jaguars – Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama

Darious Williams is entering the final year of his contract and Tyson Campbell was ineffective last season. Adding a top prospect like Kool-Aid McKinstry could help replenish Jacksonville’s cornerbacks room.

18. Cincinnati Bengals – Taliese Fuaga, OT, Oregon State

Protecting Joe Burrow should be the Bengals’ top priority. Taliese Fuaga would give Cincinnati two stud offensive tackles, along Orlando Brown Jr.

19. Los Angeles Rams – Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo

Assuming they keep it, this will be the Rams’ first first-round pick since taking Jared Goff No. 1 overall in 2016. What better way to use it than by taking a prospect like Quinyon Mitchell, who could be the top cornerback in this class by the time the draft arrives.

20. Pittsburgh Steelers – J.J. McCarthy, QB, Michigan

I’ll believe the Steelers are sticking with Kenny Pickett or Mason Rudolph when I see it. It would hardly be a surprise to see J.J. McCarthy be an immediate upgrade over either.

21. Miami Dolphins – Troy Fautanu, OL, Washington

For all of their speed, the Dolphins’ offense has holes across its offensive line. With the ability to play guard or tackle, Troy Fautanu would provide an immediate boost.

22. Philadelphia Eagles – Kamari Lassiter, CB, Georgia

At this point, the Eagles’ propensity for drafting Georgia defenders is more than just a trend. The Bulldogs’ top cornerback, Kamari Lassiter, would fill an immediate void in Philadelphia’s secondary.

23. Houston Texans (via Browns) – Jer’Zhan Newton, DL, Illinois

In the span of one year, the Texans went from one of the NFL’s worst teams to one of its most promising. Despite being undersized, Jer’Zhan Newton would bring even more firepower to Houston’s front-seven.

24. Dallas Cowboys – Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma

Tyron Smith is set to hit free agency, leaving Dallas with a sizable hole at left tackle. While he’s still raw and most of his experience has come at right tackle, Tyler Guyton has the talent to be a long-term replacement.

25. Green Bay Packers – Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia

It’s hard to imagine David Bakhtiari being back in Green Bay in 2024. The Packers would be wise to add a high upside offensive lineman like Amarius Mims to help protect Jordan Love.

26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Brian Thomas Jr., WR, LSU

All signs point to the Buccaneers bringing back Baker Mayfield, but Mike Evans’ impending free agency looms large. A 6-foot-4, 205-pound playmaker, Brian Thomas Jr. could either replace Evans or play alongside him.

27. Arizona Cardinals (via Texans) – Chop Robinson, Edge, Penn State

After taking Harrison Jr. with its first first-round pick, the Cardinals turn their attention to the defensive side of the ball. Chop Robinson possesses the fast twitch tools to thrive in head coach Jonathan Gannon’s system.

28. Buffalo Bills – Keon Coleman, WR, Florida State

Gabe Davis is set to hit free agency and Stefon Diggs’ future in Buffalo remains uncertain. It’s easy to envision the 6-foot-4, 215-pound Keon Coleman becoming Josh Allen’s next top target.

29. Detroit Lions – Byron Murphy II, DL, Texas

The Lions would benefit by taking some pressure off of Aidan Hutchinson. Byron Murphy II would pair with Alim McNeil to give Detroit a dynamic duo of defensive tackles.

30. Baltimore Ravens – Bralen Trice, Edge, Washington

Five starters in Baltimore’s front-seven are slated to hit free agency. Washington Bralen Trice would fill an immediate need as a pass-rusher.

31. San Francisco 49ers – Ladd McConkey, WR, Georgia

The 49ers lack depth behind Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk. Georgia’s Ladd McConkey is already one of this year’s biggest risers and could thrive in Kyle Shanahan’s offense.

32. Kansas City Chiefs – Troy Franklin, WR, Oregon

Expect to see Kansas City to address its wide receiver issues through multiple avenues this offseason. Troy Franklin’s big-play ability makes him an obvious potential target.
